We believe overcoming barriers to literacy begins with the way classroom materials are written. All Creative Change Curriculum Co. products are written by Lindsay Cameron, a professional writer and educator, to target and isolate skills, thereby breaking down the mental process of reading and writing. We use a strong narrative voice to replace boring instructions and thoughtful graphics to guide students’ attention. If it’s a passage-based quiz, it’s a passage that students will ENJOY reading. If it’s a worksheet, the instructions contain HUMOR. If it’s a complex concept, we create guided strategies with ANALOGIES to help students relate. We specialize in several key niches: K-4 phonics decodable readers, thesis statement assessments, the writing process, arts integration lesson plans, financial literacy, journalism, adventure therapy, trauma-informed-care, and Christian education. LINDSAY CAMERON is the creative force behind Creative Change Curriculum Co. Lindsay is a licensed teacher in Ohio for English Language Arts, grades 7-12. She previously worked an an arts school and as a literacy coach for her local Educational Service Center.
She has presented at the following statewide and local conferences: “Arts Impact Ohio” by the Ohio Arts Council, “Teaching Artist Collaborative” by the Ohio Arts Council and Ohio Kennedy Center Collaborative, and The Resiliency Summit on Trauma-Informed Care.
She now works in another field, but occasionally appears as a teaching artist, providing professional development to schools, churches, and non-profits on adventure therapy initiatives, trauma-informed care, and arts integration.
